A world-premiere: The piano-pieces by Shostakovich, played on an organ by Michiel Ras. He won many first prizes at organ competitions in Ermelo, Lisse, Utrecht and Leiderdorp (all cities in Holland).
The Second Edition from the series Natural Ambiance is the most beautiful 5-channel recording on SACD. The organ has been widely projected for the listener, and with the help of back speakers the space and ambiance of the church are not only audible, but one can feel it, too. The low sounds of this recording are unheard of. It is a real DSD recording, pure and soft in tone. A crowned recording from the series 'Natural Ambiance'.

This album, First Date (originally realeased in 1996) served on the grounds of its excellent musical quality, as a pilotproject for 24 bit remastering of the Beets Brothers cd's. The result proved to be astonishing. When comparing the remastered version with the original the difference is very obvious.
